What's in the Plagues Bag™?
The Plagues Bag™ is a burlap sack that includes two plastic hand puppets of Moses and Pharaoh, an instruction card detailing how to use the Bag™ and outlining the nature of the reference to the plagues in the haggadah, and interactive toy representations of each of the ten plagues. Examples are special sunglasses for the plague of darkness, a flipping frog, finger puppets for wild beasts, styrofoam balls for hail and a floppy cow for cattle disease.

What age is it appropriate for?
The toy is designed for nursery and elementary age children to be used with their parents. However, kids of all ages have reported having great fun with the Bag. It is appropriate even for adults with a child's heart. It is recommended that children under three years of age not use the toy because of small parts.

What is the story behind the Plagues Bag?
The Passover Plagues Bag was originally designed by Simon Jaffe, a Jewish educator for use with his family to enrich their Seder. As it evolved, Jaffe's Seder guests urged him to produce and sell the Bag to others. Working at a local JCC, Jaffe copyrighted, developed and produced the Bag in 1995. It has received endorsements from the leadership of each of the major movements of Judaism in the United States. It has won several national awards for educational creativity and innovative fundraising and has received acclaim through articles in many national Jewish and secular newspapers and periodicals. Since the first Bag was produced in 1995 approximately 70,000 have been sold and distributed throughout the world.

Where do the profits go?
The profits are used to further creative Jewish programming and outreach activities for the Jewish community.
